The Artist
David Dean has been a regular performer at venues in London including Steinway Hall, St Pancras Church, the Dulwich Festival and most recently at the Athenaeum Club. He has given many recitals at St Bride’s both as a solo performer and as an accompanist – one of his previous performances was chosen by St Bride’s to open their online recital series in August 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic.
David was a semi-finalist in the Yamaha and Pianist magazine international competition in August 2012 and a quarter-finalist in ‘Le Concours des Grands Amateurs’ piano competition in Paris, 2010. He is a Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music and has studied under Professors Hilary Coates and Christopher Elton from Trinity Laban Conservatoire and the Royal Academy of Music, respectively.
Away from the piano David has been a non-executive director of several NHS organisations and is currently chair of Lexica, a Health and Life Sciences consultancy owned by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. He is also chair of his local police, council and residents’ liaison panel and a trustee of the Dulwich Festival.
