The Artist

Mackenzie Richards was born in Canada and moved to England to study music. She attended the Royal Academy of Music in London and has since been a busy freelancer working with major orchestras including the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. As a session musician she has worked on film soundtracks and recorded for pop and jazz music. More recently she has helped to form the Lunaire String Quartet, a group which has worked with emerging composers and performed in venues such as King’s Place and the Canterbury Festival.

Julian Latham studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and the University of Manchester. He now works with various ensembles including the BBC Concert Orchestra and the English Chamber Orchestra. He has also done a variety of other freelance work including touring Europe as solo fiddle with Michael Flatley’s show Lord of the Dance and playing for a season with the Indian Symphony Orchestra in Mumbai. Julian is a keen chamber musician and, as a member of the Lunaire Quartet, performs regularly around London and the South East.
