The Artist

Axel Krogness is a Swedish classical guitarist living in London, currently working as a guitar performer, composer and teacher. Axel completed his studies in 2022 and has a Master’s degree in classical guitar performance from the Royal College of Music.

Previously Axel studied classical guitar performance with Goran Sollscher, Gunnar Spjuth and David Hansson at the Malmo Academy of Music. In 2018, an Erasmus Exchange gave Axel the opportunity to study classical guitar for one semester in Cordoba, Spain at the Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Cordoba.

Axel has participated in masterclasses with renowned classical guitarists including Marcin Dylla, Zoran Dukic, Alvaro Pierri, John Mills, Laura Snowden and Mats Bergstrom.

His current studies are supported by the Helge Ax:son Johnsons Foundation, Makama Lindeqvists Donation, Rune Ljungdahls Foundation, Crafoordska Foundation, Therese Kamphs Foundation and Kempe-Carlgrenska Foundation.
