The Artist
Daniel Zolinsky was formerly a music scholar at Trinity School, Croydon and was the Trinity-Steinway Scholar in 2019-2020. He is about to take up his place at Oxford University to study Music in October 2021. Daniel studies the piano with pianist and professor at the Royal College of Music Andrew Zolinsky, and as a result of winning the Trinity-Steinway scholarship, he will also be continuing to work with Professor Vanessa Latarche, Head of Keyboard at the Royal College of Music.
Having taken up opportunities to perform at prestigious venues including Steinway Hall and in Venice, Daniel has built up experience and has worked hard through the scholarship, recently winning the first prize and the Chopin Etude prize in the first round of Trinity Young Musician of the Year.
Over the years Daniel has competed in many music festival classes, such as those of Kingston, Sutton and Croydon, and has been the recipient of many first prizes and festival cups.
Aside from classical music, Daniel thoroughly enjoys listening to, as well as playing, other genres of music, such as Jazz – playing in the Trinity Big Band and learning solo works. His other hobbies include cooking on a daily basis, going out with friends, movies, dog walking and spending time with his family.
