The Artists

Izabela Stocka is a 26 year old Polish concert violinist based in London. She spent the early years of her career studying at the Royal Academy of Music in the class of Michael Foyle. She is a recipient of many musical awards including 1st prize at the Great Composers Competition in 2019 and winning ERSO Soloist of the Year in 2022. She has also been part of various music festivals including Stockholm Music Festival in 2023, Skopje Music Festival in 2022 and Salzburg Summer Festival in 2019.

Izabela made her appearance as a chamber and orchestra player in the National Forum of Music, Warsaw Philharmonic, Berliner Philharmonie, Macedonian Philharmonic, St John’s Smith Square and St Martin-in-the-Fields amongst others. She has given concerts both in Europe and Asia including Germany, France, England, Wales, Czech Republic, Poland and China. Izabela is also a keen teacher and loves creating exciting opportunities for her regular students such as class concerts or music workshops. She is currently playing the Auguste Philippe Bernardel 1831 violin made in Paris.

Hanzhi Zhang is a Chinese concert pianist. She has performed at prestigious concerts both in her home country and overseas. Having studied at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing as well as the Royal Academy of Music, she graduated from both institutions with distinction and holds DipRam, MA and PD, AD and BMus degrees.

Hanzhi has won numerous awards in her home country, and has an extensive solo background. She has played for Justus Zeyen, James Ehnes, Helmut Deutsch and Lawrence Power to name but a few. Hanzhi enjoys performing a wide range of repertoire and genres. She is a regular performer in the UK and China. Hanzhi Zhang will take part in the For Crying Out Loud Concert Series at Wigmore Hall and The Tunnell Trust concert tour in Scotland in 2024.
