Katy Taylor is classically trained by Dutch chamber musician Eleonore Pameijer (2009-2012) and she is also a scholarship student of the Galway Flute Academy, run by Sir James and Lady Jeanne Galway, since 2020. She resides in London and works as a freelance musician and teacher. Her CD ‘Solo for Flute’ was released in 2013, including works by Bach, Debussy, Ibert and Koechlin.

In 2010, Katy performed for the Dutch musical foundation ‘Kunst in de Kamer’ and the following year featured as a guest artist in events at the Hermitage Museum in Amsterdam. She has taken classes in Alexander Technique with Dutch teacher Arie Jan Hoorweg and she uses her knowledge to help her students play with greater musical freedom.
