The Artist

Slava Antipov started learning to play the piano at the age of six with his mother, then won a few junior piano competitions and played with the school orchestra at the age of eight. When the family moved to London, Slava continued his musical education at the Junior Department of the Royal College of Music and the Purcell School for Young Musicians before entering the Royal Academy of Music where he was awarded a scholarship and the Peter Clarke Bursary. Slava completed his education at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Currently, he is attending the Piano Masterclass course with the acclaimed pianist Martino Tirimo at Morley College.

Slava was selected to take part in the ‘Lang Lang Inspires’ massed piano day at the Royal Festival Hall and performed with the Folkestone & Hythe Orchestra (conductor Graham Harvey) after winning the Clovelly Recording Piano Competition. He was also a finalist in the Liszt Society International Piano Competition.

He has regularly been playing solo concerts in Maidstone, Dartford, Deal, Bedford and London as well as taking part in concerts all over the UK and abroad, including Germany, France and Luxembourg. Slava has performed several times at Wigmore Hall including playing a Chamber Music Recital with the Kingfisher Piano Trio.

Slava is an outstanding virtuoso pianist and has extremely challenging compositions in his repertoire, including ‘Islamei’ by Balakirev, ‘Gaspard de la nuit’ by Ravel and ‘Feux follets’ and ‘Chasse-neige’ by Liszt.
