The Artist
Roman Rudnytsky is an American concert pianist of Ukrainian background who has been performing concerts around the world for decades. He has now played in 100 countries and on 80 cruises for Cunard and P&O ships. A graduate of the Juilliard School in New York, he has played as soloist with numerous orchestras worldwide. He was also a university professor of piano and music for many years.
He had given countless concerts in the UK — including in the Isles of Scilly, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. He has been soloist with three BBC orchestras and, in 1990, gave the UK premiere performance with the Worthing Symphony of the, then, newly-discovered (1989) Liszt Concerto No 3 in E Flat.
Roman has played a diverse range of church lunchtime recitals and this performance at St Bride’s will be his second — part of a larger UK tour in May and early June.
