The Artists
British mezzo-soprano Verity Toulson is currently in her third year of undergraduate studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where she has worked under the guidance of Austin Gunn and Harry Sever.
Her operatic experience includes chorus in Errollyn Wallen’s Dido’s Ghost, as well as performances in scenes from Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice and Bellini’s La Sonnambula. Most recently she took part in Monteverdi’s Il Ritorno d’Ulisse in patria.
She has performed at several prestigious venues, including Sadler’s Wells Theatre, the Cresset Theatre, the Great Hall at Blackheath Halls, Greenwich St Alfege, the Old Royal Naval College and Faversham St Mary. In 2024, she appeared at Chiddfest Music Festival and most recently gave a Lieder recital at the Edinburgh Society of Musicians.
Giacomo Tora is an award-winning concert pianist and recording artist, with extensive concert experience in Europe, the UK and Russia. He has appeared at renowned venues such as Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg and Teatro Bibiena in Mantua. His performances have been praised by critics at international festivals including Pianissimo Festival, Umbria Classica and the Keyboard & Voice Festival at Trinity Laban. In 2024, he released his debut album ‘Hommage à BACH’, praised for its sensitive pianism, vitality and character. Tora is also dedicated to teaching, serving on the faculty of the London Piano Centre and leading The London Piano Practice.
