LECTURES
Wren Beyond our Planet
This year’s Wren Talk – Wren Beyond our Planet – will be given by Professor Katherine Blundell OBE on Tuesday 22nd October at St Bride’s Church, Fleet Street.
Professor Blundell is Professor of Astrophysics at the University of Oxford. In 2019 she was appointed the 38th Gresham Professor of Astronomy, a post previously held by Sir Christopher Wren (who was the 9th).
She launched the Global Jet Watch programme to advance research in time-domain astrophysics which includes stars doing close encounters, stars exploding and black holes launching relativistic jets in our Galaxy.
The Talk – the thirteenth in the series – and the following Q&A session will be chaired by Paul Finch, Programme Director of the World Architecture Festival.
Registration for this event is free, but we hope you might consider making a suggested donation of £10 towards the upkeep and maintenance of this historic building.
You can do so at the Talk by cash or contactless or online via JustGiving.
We are most grateful to the Wren Insurance Association for their generous support of this event.
Find out more about the lecture series together with an archive of past speakers and recordings on the Wren Talk page.
