All are welcome to step away from the noise and busyness of the City and into the quiet embrace of our candlelit crypt chapel — a space steeped in history and surrounded by the ancient walls of this sacred place.
Each Monday lunchtime at 1:15pm we invite you to experience some Celtic Calm, to escape the busyness of the day and pause for a time to reflect, reconnect and be mindful.
Rooted in the Celtic Christian tradition, this half-hour gathering begins with the lighting of a candle for peace in honour of St Brigid, our matron saint.
A short biblical reading and reflection on a Celtic theme or saint lead into an extended time of silence which then concludes with some closing prayers.
Whether you stay for the full thirty minutes or simply step for a while into the pool of prayerful silence, all are welcome. Come and discover how the stillness speaks to you.
Celtic Calm runs throughout the year, but occasionally events in church mean that we may have to suspend it on a given day and sometimes for extended periods over the summer holidays. Check the calendar below to confirm.
