The Zarębski Piano Duo was founded in 2013 by two Krakow-based pianists: Piotr Różański and Grzegorz Mania. The duo performs mainly four hands compositions from the 19th and the 20th century. Their wide repertoire includes works by Brahms, Dvorak, Schubert, Schumann, Mozart, Barber and Ligeti, as well as Polish composers: Juliusz Zarębski, Zygmunt Noskowski, Wladyslaw Żeleński and Ignacy Jan Paderewski. The ensemble has performed in many concert halls in Poland and abroad, including recitals in the USA, Germany, Finland, Cyprus and Israel. They regularly play for British audiences, most recently at St. Martin-in-the-Fields. As soloists, they have also performed with the Polish Art Philharmonic.

Piotr Różański studied piano with Katarzyna Popowa-Zydron and Ewa Bukojemska at the Academy of Music in Krakow (Poland), where he is currently an assistant piano professor, and has a PhD. Piotr performs regularly as a soloist and in various chamber ensembles. He has performed in Poland, USA, Switzerland, Germany, France, Latvia, and has played with Kaja Danczowska, Robert Kabara, Piotr Reichert and Marcin Zdunik. With Maria Slawek (violin) he recorded two CDs with violin sonatas by Schumann, Prokofiev and Weinberg. Piotr is a laureate of numerous piano and chamber competitions, winning 1st Prize at the 4th EPTA Piano Competition (Krakow 2003), 2nd Prize at the Carl Czerny Piano Competition (Prague 2003), 1st Prize at the 38th Polish National Chopin Piano Competition (Warsaw 2006), and many other awards at solo and chamber competitions (Lodz 2010, Kiev 2010, to name a few).

Grzegorz Mania graduated with distinction from the Academy of Music in Krakow. He is also a graduate (distinction) of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama where he was tutored by Martin Roscoe, Charles Owen and Caroline Palmer. Grzegorz is also a graduate of the Jagiellonian University, where he read law and recently obtained a PhD for a dissertation about music and copyright. Grzegorz works as a soloist, with orchestras, as an accompanist and chamber musician. He is a member of the Extra Sounds Ensemble - the group has recently recorded a CD for Solo Musica, Munich. Grzegorz has played in many important halls and during many national and international festivals in Poland and abroad - Great Britain, France, Austria, Italy, Norway, Iceland, Israel and Vietnam. Grzegorz has attended many solo and chamber workshops and masterclasses with most eminent artists, and has been a finalist in a number of international solo and chamber competitions.
