As part of the St Bride’s community engagement programme, we are delighted to host a free, creative music workshop designed especially for families affected by substance use which is organised by Adfam – the UK’s leading charity supporting and campaigning for such families.

The workshop will be led by professional musicians and workshop leaders Jessie Maryon Davies (piano) and Rosie Berzonzi (percussion).

The two-hour session offers a welcoming space to connect, create, and express through music.

Set within the wonderful surroundings of St Bride’s Church, and drawing on its fascinating history and musical heritage, participants will work together to write and compose an original song for this special, one-off event.

St Bride’s has a long-standing connection with Adfam which has held its annual Christmas Carol Concert here since 1997. This much-loved event has become an important part of Adfam’s story, bringing people together to recognise and celebrate families affected by substance use while enjoying incredible music and carols.

This workshop is open exclusively to individuals with lived experience of a loved one’s substance use. At Adfam, we recognise the powerful role creativity can play in supporting wellbeing. Through shared music-making and storytelling, participants can explore their experiences in a supportive environment, helping to process complex emotions and build confidence in their own voices.

Places are limited so please book now to secure your spot.

If you have any questions please contact the Adfam team at admin@adfam.org.uk.
