Lord Mayor’s Show
The Lord Mayor’s Show is one of the best-known annual events in London as well as one of the longest-established, dating back to the 13th century.
Every year St Bride’s open its doors to offer hospitality (and shelter from the rain!) to visitors to the show.
This year the show is taking place on Saturday 12th November, and we will be open from 10am to 3:30pm.
We offer our congratulations to Alderman Nicholas Lyons who will become the 694th Lord Mayor of London.
150 floats will take part in a three mile-long procession to mark the Lord Mayor’s first full day in office. This year, as Chaplain to the Non-Aldermanic Sheriff Andrew Marsden, our Rector Alison Joyce will join the parade in a carriage and promises to wave as she passes St Bride’s.
The processions departs from St Paul’s just after midday, then heads down Ludgate Hill and along Fleet Street, right past our doors.
You are welcome to join us and if the weather is poor, you will be able to watch the parade in the dry warmth of St Bride’s on our big screen, whilst enjoying a drink and a snack.
