Lord Mayor’s Show

Saturday 11th November, 2023, at 10:30 am

The Lord Mayor’s Show is one of the best-known annual events in London as well as one of the longest-established, dating back to the 13th century.

Every year here at St Bride’s we open our doors and offer a warm welcome; shelter; and refreshments to all visitors to the Lord Mayor’s Show.

This year the Show takes place on Saturday 11th November, so please spread the word and join us between 10:30am and 2:30pm for hot drinks, sandwiches and cake to raise funds for the church. Please note that there are a number of tube line closures making the journey more complicated than usual this year. You can find details about journeys on the Show’s website here.

We offer our congratulations to Alderman Michael Mainelli who will become the 695th Lord Mayor of London.

150 floats will take part in a three mile-long procession to mark the Lord Mayor’s first full day in office.

The processions departs from St Paul’s just after midday, then heads down Ludgate Hill and along Fleet Street, right past our doors.

If you would like to be involved, please contact John or Joanne Forrest at forrest_ascot@msn.com. Cake donations would be gratefully received.

We look forward to seeing you on the day for what promises, as always, to be a great day out for all the family!
