Thanksgiving service for the life of David Bolton, dear friend and colleague at St Bride’s, who died, in post as Verger, on 17th November, 2020.

David first became acquainted with St Bride’s in 1974, but became a regular member of the congregation in 2009 and joined the Guild of St Bride in 2013. In 2015 he joined the staff team as a verger.

David’s background was in law and his interests were many and varied: Roman Britain, archaeology, cathedrals medieval English towns and real ale featured heavily. He always had the perfect obscure, erudite fact about almost any cathedral, as well as a phenomenal recall of dates.

He will be very much missed here amongst his St Bride’s family. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
