Memorial: Eugene Duffy

A service of thanksgiving for the life of journalist and managing editor Eugene Duffy will take place at St Bride’s Church, the Journalists’ Church, on Thursday 8th June at 11:30am.
Eugene Duffy was a key figure on the Daily Mirror for nearly thirty years, as night news editor, news editor, assistant editor and finally managing editor before his departure in 2014.
He began his journalistic career at the Staffordshire Newsletter and then the Worcester Evening News and, after his various roles at the Mirror, moved to the Bahamas to become managing editor of the Tribune in Nassau.
