A service of thanksgiving for the life of Harold Elletson will take place at St Bride’s Church on Thursday 19th October at 11:30am.
Harold Elletson was a Conservative MP between 1992 and 1997, whilst at the same time allegedly working as an agent for MI6. After an internship on the Fleetwood Chronicle, Elletson worked for the Conservative Research Department and became a County Councillor in Lancashire, prior to his spell in the House of Commons.
He had a deep interest in the former Soviet Union and other Eastern Bloc countries and, later in life, was founding director of the NATO Forum on Business and Security.
