Memorial: Sumeet Desai

A service of thanksgiving for the life of Sumeet Desai, journalist and lobbyist, will take place at St Bride’s Church, the Journalists’ Church, on Thursday 2nd November at 11:30am.

Sumeet Desai was an economics and political correspondent. Beginning his career at Market News in the early 1990s, Desai was soon hired by Reuters, where he remained for nearly two decades covering, amongst other stories, the financial crisis of the late 2000s.

He left journalism in 2013 to lead government relations for the Royal Bank of Scotland and then joined the financial communications firm Brunswick in 2015.
