Memorial: Lynn White

A service of thanksgiving for the life of Lynn White will take place at St Bride’s Church, the Journalists’ Church, on Thursday 26th September at 11:30am.

White was a news and features executive at the Daily Mirror. Her career began at the British Medical Journal before being recruited by Mirror Magazine in 1968; its closure saw her join the Sunday Mirror and then the Daily Mirror as a features sub-editor.

In a male-dominated Fleet Street, she continued to progress to the back bench – the production heart of a newspaper – as copy taster, the first woman to hold that role.
