Memorial: Martin Windrow

A service of thanksgiving for the life of Martin Windrow will take place at St Bride’s Church, the Journalists’ Church, on Thursday 16th October at 3pm.

Windrow was a publisher and historian, specialising in military history. Windrow was involved with Osprey Publishing from its founding in the late 1960s, both as commissioning editor of the Men-at-Arms and Elite series, and also as author of some twenty books for the company, the last of which was published in 2024.

He was an Associate of the Royal Historical Society and a long-serving member of the British Commission for Military History.
