Memorial: Simon Greenberg

A thanksgiving service for the life of Simon Greenberg, who died on 30th August 2021, aged 52, will be held at St Bride’s Church, Fleet Street, where he began his working life as a journalist.

Most recently Head of Corporate Development at The Athletic, Simon was previously Director of Corporate Affairs at News International. He started his career in sports journalism and became Sports Editor of the Evening Standard in the 1990s before moving into PR by becoming Director of Communications and Public Affairs at Chelsea FC in 2004.

He is survived by his wife, Fran, their son, Sam, as well as Coco and Sukie, Fran’s two daughters.
