Reflection in Words & Music
In 2024, our online worship changed and we now offer something simpler and shorter than before.
Each online reflection lasts around 15-20mins and begins with an anthem from the recording archive of our wonderful St Bride’s Choir, followed by a reading, a reflection by our Sunday morning preacher and closes with a hymn.
These reflections in words and music are released each Sunday at 11am and can be found on our social media pages at Facebook, YouTube and SoundCloud together with an archive of previous broadcasts.
You can also find and subscribe to our online services released as a podcast on itunes, Spotify or wherever you find your podcasts.
St Bride’s began offering webcasts of some recorded services online in 2011. The Choir of St Bride’s was delighted to be the first adult professional choir, and also the first London church choir, to do so. This was very fitting for a church with such strong media links, and brought the distinctive and exciting sound of our professional choir to a wider audience.
During the first COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, this was expanded and St Bride’s began providing all our regular choral services online, even when the church was closed, created from our extensive archive together with newly recorded spoken material.
This has led to a growing online congregation whose members are a key part of the life of St Bride’s.
