Lecture: The news sphere and the heavenly sphere

We are delighted to host this year's annual lecture for the Religion Media Centre on Tuesday 29th September at 6:30pm, given by Sarah Sands on "The news sphere and the heavenly sphere".

The lecture will be followed by a Q&A session and a reception.

Sarah Sands is a British journalist and author, and former newspaper and BBC Radio 4 Today programme editor, who has gone on to serve on multiple boards, mainly in the UK creative and scientific sector, including Channel 4 and the Science Museum Group.

She is a former chair of the G7 Gender Equality Advisory Council (GEAC) and has championed the cause of Afghan women. She is an honorary fellow at Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge and Goldsmiths, University of London and now works as CEO of Hymns Ancient & Modern.

The Religion Media Centre is an independent, impartial body helping journalists and other media professionals cover world religion and beliefs. They provide accurate, timely and relevant information to the media, to improve religious literacy among journalists, media professionals and engender a wider understanding throughout society.

Admission

The event is free to attend. Please register if you wish to do so. There will be a Q&A following the lecture and a chance afterwards to network and chat over drinks.
