FUNERALS, MEMORIALS & DEDICATIONS
Memorial: Finbar McKeogh
A service of thanksgiving for the life of Finbar McKeogh will take place at St Bride’s Church, on Thursday 12th May at 11:30am.
Known as Barry to his friends, McKeogh was born in Cork and moved to London in the 1960s to study accountancy. He became fascinated by architectural model-making and bought out the company Pipers in 1977.
Moving the company to central London in the early 1980s, McKeogh created a 1:500 model of the City of London, which showcased schemes representing the future of architecture in the City, including Canary Wharf and, having been updated in 2004, the Olympic Park in Stratford.
