Mark Campbell Memorial

Mark Campbell
(1956 - 2009)

A Service of Thanksgiving for the life and work of Mark Campbell, retail fund manager, was held at St Bride' s on 2nd February 2010. The service was conducted by the Rector, assisted by his predecessor, Prebendary John Oates, who had baptised Mark's children at St Bride's in the 1980s and 1990s.

The Venerable David Meara delivered the Bidding:

We meet in St Bride's to celebrate the life and honour the memory of Mark Campbell, a key figure in the asset management community, a man who was loved by many and who in turn loved people himself.

We remember him for his strength of character, his warm and gregarious personality, his love for Caroline whom he met 25 years ago, and for his family, who over the years had many links with the church.

We give thanks for the privilege of having known him, for his fortitude in facing his final illness, and for the faith that sustained him throughout his life. And as we commend him to God we pray that at the end of his brief time here on earth is the eternity of God's love.
