St Bride's screening of Baroness Thatcher's funeral

Margaret_Thatcher.pngSt Bride's doors will be open on the morning of Wednesday 17th April to anybody who wishes to view the funeral of Baroness Thatcher.

The Church will provide a big screen to give people the chance to come in and witness the funeral together.

The service at St Paul's Cathedral begins at 11:00am. The procession leaves from the Palace of Westminster at 10:00am then passes via St Clement Dane's. As it proceeds along Fleet Street past St Bride's Church, the route will be lined by more than 700 armed forces personnel from the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, F Company Scots Guards, 1st Battalion Welsh Guards, and the Royal Air Force.

Rector of St Bride's David Meara said: "It will give people the chance to witness this historic event in the beautiful and comfortable surroundings of St Bride's Church."

There will be no charge for entry on Wednesday although people will be encouraged to make a small donation to cover the cost of hosting the event.

All are welcome.
